How Each Of The Zodiac Signs Keep Secrets

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

How does Aries keep a secret? By not knowing any. It's not that Aries are mean-spirited and want to tell everyone's secrets, it's that they have very little impulse control and it's possible that a secret would leave their lips before they were even aware of what they were doing.

Generally, Aries don't have that many secrets of their own and feel it's much better to bring the things you wish to keep hidden out into the light. They don't have a lot of empathy for those with many secrets.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

Taurus are great at keeping secrets, probably because there's an unspoken code of honor when it comes to secret-keeping, and they take secrets very seriously. As with anything, once Taurus makes up their mind to keep a secret, they'll stubbornly keep quiet about it.

Their resolve to keep quiet about their secrets is unbreakable and doesn't weaken over time. Taurus will be just as closed-lipped about a secret years later as they would with fresh knowledge.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

Geminis mean well when it comes to secret-keeping, and while they may have every intention of keeping a secret, they usually will tell them. Geminis love a great conversation and they love to tell a juicy bit of gossip or a great story, so they can get carried away and tell things that were confided to them in private.

They are honest about their lack of secret-keeping skills and will tell people that, as far as confidential information goes, they can't be held responsible.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

Cancers are sensitive and will always try to provide a shoulder for someone to cry on, but keeping secrets can be challenging for them when they're in a high emotional state.

If they're sharing their feelings, other things that should be kept private — such as their own secrets and the secrets of others — can come spilling out. The truth is they'd rather not have the pressure to keep a secret because it stresses them out

LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leos realize the importance of keeping secrets. They don't want to be tempted to share a secret, so they will change the topic of conversation if need be.

Leos are honorable and they feel that gossiping or telling something someone told them in confidence is unethical and irresponsible, and that kind of behavior is unacceptable. Don't ask because Leo will not tell.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

Virgos keep secrets, especially their own. However, although Virgo will keep a secret, they will also take the opportunity to see if there's anything they can do to help solve the problem or ease the situation.

When you tell a secret to a Virgo, your secret may become their pet-project. If you cheated on your significant other, expect advice from Virgo and a list of things you can do to improve your relationship. Hey, Virgo is just being helpful, and it would weigh on them if they didn't at least try to make things better for you.

LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

The best way for Libra to keep a secret is to ask the secret holder if they can tell one person. If they're able to tell one person, it helps Libra to ease the burden of holding on a secret. If that doesn't work, maybe Libra could get an expiry date (after an acceptable amount of time) that would make it okay to tell the secret.

If those things aren't possible, it will depend on the seriousness of the secret. If the secret is life-altering and could cause pain, Libra will stay quiet, but if it's no big deal, there's no guarantee that Libra will not share it.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

Scorpios are the masters of keeping secrets, especially their own. In fact, Scorpios don't ever have a huge urge to reveal their own secrets or the secrets of others.

Now, that's not to say that a manipulative Scorpio might not use their secret knowledge as a way to control someone else, but they aren't gossips and it doesn't give them any pleasure to blab someone's secrets.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

Sagittarians aren't the best secret-keepers. They may mean well but they tend to blurt things out — some of those being things they were told in strict confidence. Sagittarians don't have an overabundance of tact or discretion.

They may not even realize they're talking about something they shouldn't, and once they get started, there's no stopping what comes out of their mouth. They'll feel bad about telling a secret, but that doesn't always make up for them telling it in the first place.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

A Capricorn is the model of someone trustworthy and discreet. If you tell a secret to a Capricorn, you can bet that it will remain locked safely inside them forever. They're very disciplined so they have the skill set to keep quiet on matters they have no right to talk about.

They're not going to gossip or tell a secret so they can seem interesting at a party or fit in. Capricorns are wise and don't want to have to deal with any of the unpleasant fallout that can happen when one doesn't keep a secret.

AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

It's not that Aquarians are malicious and love to go about spreading gossip and revealing people's secrets, it's that they probably missed the part when they were told that something was confidential and should not be repeated. At some point, the secret may pop into their brain, and without considering the consequences Aquarius will tell a secret or two.

When they're called out on revealing a secret, they will creatively turn it around and say how the secret needed to be told, so that the secret-bearer could heal from it, which may or not be true but will sound good.

PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

Pisces have a gift for knowing your secrets before you even tell them — they are that intuitive. Pisces are very kind and would never want to hurt someone by revealing their secrets.

They tend to channel their own secrets into their art, or they might write down their secret and then destroy it. Online sites where you can reveal a secret and still be anonymous also work for Pisces. If asked about a secret point blank, they will play dumb and act as if they have no clue about any kind of secret.
